BREAKING NEWS: Armed Robbery Reported at Green Oaks Gas Station; Six Suspects Sought

GREEN OAKS, Ill. — Authorities were responding early Wednesday morning to a reported armed robbery at a gas station along Rockland Road in Green Oaks.

According to preliminary emergency dispatch traffic, the robbery was reported at Lenny’s Gas & Wash around 3:30 a.m. Dispatch information indicated that six masked suspects, reportedly armed with baseball bats and sledgehammers, entered the business and took a cash register.

The group reportedly fled in a black Dodge with no visible license plate. The vehicle was last reported traveling eastbound on Illinois Route 176 toward Route 60.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the incident. No information regarding injuries was immediately available.
