Authorities are investigating a violent stabbing incident reported Friday afternoon near West Roosevelt Road after emergency dispatch traffic indicated multiple victims and an active search for a suspect.

The initial call came in around 4:32 p.m. CDT. A woman reportedly told dispatchers she had been stabbed in the face by an upstairs neighbor at a residential location near West Roosevelt Road.

As officers responded, radio traffic indicated a second victim — an adult male — was found suffering from serious stab wounds. Responding personnel described injuries to the man’s stomach and neck or throat area while requesting immediate ambulance assistance.

Dispatchers also relayed that the suspect was believed to have fled to the third floor of the building shortly after the attack. Officers requested additional units while attempting to make contact inside the property.

The suspect was described in the dispatch transcript as a Black male. No name has been released, and it remains unclear whether an arrest was made at the scene.

The conditions of both victims have not been officially confirmed, and police have not yet released a formal statement detailing the circumstances that led to the violence.

This remains a developing story. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Chicago police through official channels.
