D4vd is facing a significant escalation in his legal case after prosecutors formally filed murder charges and his booking photo was publicly released.

The 21-year-old performer, born David Anthony Burke, remains in custody without bail following his arrest in Los Angeles in connection with the death of teenager Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

The release of the mugshot comes as the case enters a new and highly scrutinized phase.

During an April 20 press conference, Nathan Hochman announced that Burke has been charged with first-degree murder. If convicted, he could face the most severe penalties allowed under state law.

Prosecutors also announced additional charges, including alleged lewd acts involving a minor and dismemberment.

Investigators say the case began in September 2025, when the teen’s remains were reportedly discovered inside a Tesla registered to Burke. The vehicle had been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills after reports of a foul odor.

While early reports indicated cooperation with investigators, the matter has since intensified. Burke also canceled tour dates after becoming publicly linked to the investigation.

Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Burke’s attorneys continue to deny wrongdoing.

With arraignment proceedings expected next, public attention remains focused on the courtroom as the high-profile case continues.
