d4vd has become the focus of a high-profile criminal investigation, with court proceedings expected to advance following his recent arrest in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old artist, born David Anthony Burke, is being held without bail in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez.

As the case moves toward arraignment, public attention has intensified around both the legal proceedings and the response from the victim’s family.

Authorities said Burke was taken into custody on April 16 by the Los Angeles Police Department Robbery-Homicide Division, working alongside the United States Marshals Service. Prosecutors are reportedly considering formal murder charges, which could carry a life sentence if filed.

Investigators trace the case back to September 2025, when the teen’s remains were reportedly discovered inside the front trunk of an abandoned Tesla in the Hollywood Hills.

The vehicle was said to be registered to Burke, prompting immediate scrutiny and a months-long investigation.

While online speculation has circulated regarding a possible relationship between the two, many claims remain unconfirmed.

Responding to the arrest, the victim’s father issued a brief statement saying, “Thank God… justice for Celeste.”

Family members are expected to attend the upcoming arraignment and have indicated they plan to remain actively involved throughout the legal process.

Burke’s legal team has denied the allegations, stating: “The actual evidence will show that David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez and he was not the cause of her death.”

At this time, no formal indictment has been announced, and the matter remains under prosecutorial review.

The next court appearance is expected to draw significant public attention as the case continues to unfold.
