FORT DIX, N.J. — Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly suffered a serious head injury following a physical altercation with convicted Jamaican drug lord Christopher “Dudus” Coke at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey.

According to TMZ, the confrontation occurred Friday, October 9, and resulted in Combs being transported by ambulance to an outside medical facility early Saturday morning.

Sources familiar with the incident claim the dispute stemmed from growing tensions inside the prison following an NBC News investigation into Combs’ allegedly privileged lifestyle behind bars.

The investigation detailed claims that the music mogul had access to contraband cellphones, premium alcohol, special meals, and personal services provided by other inmates.

Following the report, prison officials allegedly conducted at least two raids, confiscating unauthorized cellphones and restricting certain privileges. Coke was reportedly among the inmates whose belongings were confiscated.

Sources told TMZ that Coke, who has been serving a 23-year federal sentence since 2012, became furious over the increased scrutiny and loss of privileges.

The confrontation allegedly occurred while Combs was outside his cell during his daily recreation period. Sources claim he sustained a significant head injury requiring emergency medical attention.

Following the incident, both Combs and Coke were reportedly assigned two weeks in the prison’s Special Housing Unit, commonly referred to as solitary confinement.

Combs had already been placed in restrictive housing following the NBC News investigation.

A representative for Combs previously acknowledged reports of his hospitalization but said his team was still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the injury.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month federal prison sentence following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His projected release date is March 2, 2028.

The reported altercation adds to mounting scrutiny surrounding the music mogul’s incarceration, including allegations of contraband possession, disciplinary violations, and preferential treatment inside the federal facility.
