NEW YORK — Wedding bells are ringing for Fetty Wap. The rapper has announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Alexis, marking a new personal milestone as he continues rebuilding his life following his release from prison earlier this year.

The couple shared the happy news on social media, giving fans a glimpse into the romantic proposal. The intimate setting featured candlelight, rose petals, and a heart-shaped floral arrangement surrounding a glowing “Will You Marry Me?” sign. Video from the moment showed Fetty Wap getting down on one knee before Alexis accepted the proposal with an emotional kiss. She later showed off a large square-cut diamond engagement ring and captioned her post simply, “I said yes.”

The engagement comes during a significant new chapter for the 35-year-old artist, whose real name is Willie Maxwell II. After serving more than three years of a six-year federal prison sentence on a drug conspiracy conviction, Fetty Wap was transferred to home confinement earlier this year and has since resumed releasing music and making public appearances.

While the couple has largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight, friends and fans quickly flooded social media with congratulatory messages following the announcement. Neither Fetty Wap nor Alexis has revealed when they began dating or shared details about a wedding date.

Best known for chart-topping hits including “Trap Queen,” “679,” and “My Way,” Fetty Wap appears to be embracing a fresh start in both his career and personal life. The engagement adds another milestone to what has been a transformative year for the rapper as he looks toward the future.
