Danity Kane fans divided after D. Woods and Aundrea Fimbres open for Day26

NEW YORK — Danity Kane’s latest chapter is drawing a split reaction from fans after D. Woods and Aundrea Fimbres appeared at Day26’s New York show this weekend.

Woods and Fimbres are performing as a duo incarnation of the group following an apparent falling out with fellow founding member Aubrey O’Day, who has publicly voiced her displeasure with the arrangement, according to reports. The trio had spent the past year touring as the latest iteration of Danity Kane, after Dawn Richard said she was not asked to return for the outing.

Fan reaction on X ranged from excitement — with some supporters dubbing the pair “DK2” and celebrating a mini Making The Band reunion — to sharp criticism. “In no world should Danity Kane EVER be opening for Day26,” one user wrote, while another said the duo is “destroying” the group’s legacy. Others called the performance “embarrassing” and urged the pair to “wrap this up.”

Danity Kane was formed on MTV’s Making The Band in 2005 and became one of the era’s defining girl groups before internal splits repeatedly fractured the lineup.
