Rising R&B star kwn is opening up like never before on her sophomore EP, And All Pride Aside, a deeply personal project that explores love, grief, desire, and emotional growth.

Serving as the follow-up to her 2025 breakout EP With All Due Respect, the new release features collaborations with Destin Conrad and Ty Dolla $ign, while continuing to showcase the East London singer-songwriter’s signature blend of contemporary R&B with influences from hip-hop, rock, and bossa nova.

The project moves between playful sensuality and heartfelt introspection. While tracks such as “Til the Room Stinks” embrace confidence and intimacy, “Heaven’s in Your Hands” reflects on the loss of her grandfather, highlighting a more vulnerable side of the emerging artist.

Speaking about her evolution as a songwriter, kwn revealed that she has become more comfortable expressing her emotions through music.

“I used to shy away from writing anything too emotional for me. But obviously I’m growing day by day, which, in turn, is allowing me to open up with the world as well.”

As her profile continues to rise, she says she’s become even more intentional with every lyric she writes.

“Anytime I’m writing, I’ll go over each line a good few times and make sure that it don’t sound cringy to me. I’m not just saying something to say it; I want every line to be intentional.”

Produced alongside longtime collaborator Joel Compass and Malik Ninety Five, And All Pride Aside further refines kwn’s atmospheric sound while demonstrating the artistic maturity that has quickly made her one of R&B’s most exciting new voices.

Since breaking through in 2025 with “Worst Behaviour” featuring Kehlani, kwn has continued to build momentum, earning a BRIT Award nomination and a BET Award nomination as her career reaches new heights.
