Pulse Radio 96.1 is deeply disappointed by the verdict reached in the case involving the death of 14-year-old Cyrus Carmack-Belton.

While we respect the legal process and the role of the jury, we recognize that many members of the community are grieving, frustrated, and struggling to understand how a child lost his life and yet no criminal conviction was secured.

Cyrus Carmack-Belton was more than a headline. He was a son, a brother, a friend, and a young man whose future was cut short. Our thoughts remain with his family and loved ones as they continue to navigate an unimaginable loss.

We support the right of community members to peacefully gather, peacefully protest, and peacefully make their voices heard. Throughout history, peaceful demonstrations have served as a powerful tool for communities seeking justice, accountability, and meaningful change. We encourage those who choose to protest to do so safely, lawfully, and with respect for one another.

Pulse Radio 96.1 stands with those calling for transparency, accountability, and continued dialogue surrounding the circumstances of this case. We believe communities deserve the opportunity to ask difficult questions, express concerns, and advocate for change without fear or violence.

We also recognize that members of our own Black Community are planning a mass boycott of Asian-owned businesses or organizations connected to issues they wish to protest. Any such actions should be conducted peacefully, lawfully, and without targeting people on the basis of race, ethnicity, nationality, or other protected characteristics.

We also urge our listeners to reject hatred, division, and retaliation. The pursuit of justice is strongest when it is rooted in unity, dignity, and peaceful civic engagement.

As a station dedicated to serving and informing our community, we will continue to follow developments related to this case and provide a platform for thoughtful discussion and diverse community voices.

Our hearts remain with the Carmack-Belton family and all those impacted by this tragedy.
