Jill Scott Unveils New Album To Whom This May Concern, Debuts Lead Single “Beautiful People”

Jill Scott is formally returning to album mode.

The R&B icon has announced her long-awaited sixth studio album, To Whom This May Concern, marking her first full-length release in nearly a decade and ushering in a new chapter of her storied career.

The album is scheduled for release on February 13, following a milestone period in which the Philadelphia native celebrated the 20th anniversary of her seminal debut, Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol. 1, with a sold-out North American tour.

In conjunction with the album announcement, Scott has released its lead single, “Beautiful People,” a soulful offering that reaffirms her signature warmth, introspection, and ability to foster connection through music.

According to Scott, To Whom This May Concern explores themes of humanity, community, and emotional honesty, and features collaborations with Ab-Soul, J.I.D., Tierra Whack, and Too $hort.

To Whom This May Concern also boasts production contributions from DJ Premier, Om’Mas Keith, Adam Blackstone, and Camper.

The album announcement arrives as the soul icon prepares to appear in Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again, further expanding her presence across music and film.
